In a new publication, Hannah Zagel and Mio Tamakoshi examine state support for reproductive equity in relation to abortion and medically assisted reproduction. The empirical comparison of 30 countries shows major differences in whether reproductive services are provided to all social groups and to what extent the costs are covered.

A supplementary case study comparing regulatory patterns in Germany, Austria and Switzerland over time reveals the different trajectories of reproductive equity support in countries with similarity in other parts of their welfare state systems.
